Details

This is a replica of a three-legged Anglo-Saxon cooking pot. The tripod design allows the pot to stand stable on an uneven surface, such as on an open fire.

Materials

Grogged earthenware and green glaze.

Dimensions

Approx. 330 mm High, 135 mm Diameter, 230 mm Handle

Production

This replica has been hand-made in Northumberland by Potted History, based on an original artefact.

Health and Safety

As with all of our Museum quality replicas, this piece has been fired to achieve an authentic finish. Like the original, it is not fully glazed; as a result, this pot does not meet modern health and safety standards, and although decorative, I would not recommend that this pot be used for its original purpose.

Don't take our word for it

Hello Graham and Sarah, I wanted to message because I ordered your holy grail pot for my dad's birthday and he is over the moon with it.

I love it! I love everything about it, what it represents, why you made it and the history behind it. It was worth the wait! Thank you so much.
