Pots like this were not just utilitarian—they were part of the heartbeat of daily life. Whether nourishing a family or fuelling a feast, they helped shape the flavours and rhythms of medieval existence.

Health & Safety
Museum-Quality Replica: Made using authentic historical tools and techniques.
Not food safe: Although glazed in areas, this vessel is made from earthenware, which is naturally porous. Over time, it will absorb the flavours and oils of any food or liquid it comes into contact with. It does not meet modern health and safety standards for food or drink use.
For display purposes only: While some enthusiasts do use replicas like this for experimental archaeology or historical cooking, they do so at their own risk.
In medieval times, people ensured hygiene and safety by heating pots and their contents to over 70°C for at least 10 minutes to kill bacteria, with temperatures of 100°C or more offering even greater protection.
