Miniature Palaeolithic Figurine Pendant – Inspired by the Woman of Willendorf

Details

This pocket-sized Palaeolithic figure is ready to accompany you wherever you go. Inspired by the well-known Woman of Willendorf, she is often connected with Earth Mother symbolism, representing fertility, femininity, and strength across time.

Small female figurines like this one have played a vital role in human culture and have been found across prehistoric Europe. Some of the earliest known fired clay objects were found in the area around Dolní Věstonice in the Czech Republic, including the Woman of Dolní Věstonice, also featured in our online shop.

This figure has been designed with a hole pierced through the top, allowing it to be worn as a pendant or hung somewhere meaningful—perhaps as part of a shrine, on a cord, or carried with you as a personal token.

Please note: Due to being made from ceramic, this piece is fragile. It should not be worn during activities that might cause impact or stress, as it may chip or break. Handle with care and intention.

Materials
Smoke-fired terracotta

Dimensions
Height: Approx. 50 mm

Variations

Each figure is individually smoke-fired, resulting in unique variations in surface tone and mottling. When selecting a colour variation, please keep in mind that no two figures are alike—each has her own distinct personality and surface pattern.

Production

This figurine has been handmade in a small pottery workshop in Northumberland, using traditional tools and techniques to honour the craftsmanship of our distant ancestors.
